WECHCPC is pleased to accept donations of clothing and other items to assist us in supporting the wellness of neighbours experiencing homelessness.
We accept the following items:
- Toques or other warm headgear
- Scarves and neck-warmers
- Cold-weather gloves
- Cold-weather socks
- Handwarmers and footwarmers
- Emergency blankets
- Rain ponchos
- Bandanas
- Facecloths
- Wool or other warm blankets
- Personal hygiene items (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, feminine hygiene products)
Please note the following:
- We do not accept other items (shoes, shirts, pants, sweaters, etc.), due to our limited space and concentration on providing emergency items.
- Clothing and blankets must be laundered before they will be accepted, in order to reduce the risk of disease transmission.
- Donated items must be in good condition (no tears or holes, not threadbare) and protect the wearer against the elements. We will not accept items we deem ineffective for the needs of our patrons.
- Items must be brought during business hours, 10-6 Monday-Saturday. Items left outside our door will be discarded as waste. Staff will inspect items to determine if they will be accepted.
