Located under the big yellow awning at the corner of Davie & Jervis, our storefront office is open from 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Saturday (except holidays). Staff and volunteers are on hand to answer questions, and offer referrals, resources, and services.
Resources and Referrals
Our trained volunteers and staff are able to answer your crime- and safety-related questions; and refer you to appropriate agencies and groups to get assistance on a range of topics.
We carry dozens of brochures on topics relating to personal safety, crime prevention, and community services. If you don’t see what you need in our brochure rack – ask!
We carry safety devices (such as whistles, reflectors, and pocket ashtrays), available on request at no charge.

Help with making a police report
We are not a police station, but we can assist and advise you in making a police report from our office by phone or online.

Project 529
Project 529 is an online registry of bikes, e-bikes, and kick-scooters, with the goal of reducing theft and improving the chances of recovery of lost and stolen items.
We will register your bike(s) free-of-charge in our storefront office, up to 30 minutes before closing, or you can make an appointment
If you’ve already registered online, we’re able to supply you with a Project 529 registration number and sticker, upon proof of registration

Emergency supplies to people in need
We distribute seasonally-appropriate wellness items from our office to people who are sleeping outdoors, on request.
We also accept donations of certain types of clothing, sleeping, and hygiene products. Please contact our office for more information on the guidelines.
Donated items must be laundered before they will be accepted, in order to reduce the risk of disease transmission. They must be delivered during office hours – any items left outside our door will be considered waste.
Donated items must be in good condition (no tears or holes, not threadbare), and protect the wearer against the elements. We will not accept items we deem ineffective for the needs of our patrons.
