Scam Prevention for Seniors is coming to the West End Community Centre (870 Denman), on Thursday, March 6, from 1-3 pm. This is a free, interactive seminar designed to help seniors and their families recognize and prevent financial scams. Using real-life examples and case studies, VPD officers cover topics such as grandchild bail scams, distraction thefts, cybercrime, and other common financial crimes.

Attendees will learn practical safety tips to protect their financial information and assets, identify red flags of fraudulent activity, and gain strategies to safeguard themselves. The sessions also encourage open discussion and sharing of personal experiences, fostering community and support.

Register online now, by scanning the QR code to your right, or sending your name and contact information to outreach@wechcpc.com. There’ll be refreshments, printed materials, and the chance to engage in a Q&A with VPD officers about crimes targeting seniors.
